Critical thinking for ages 7 to 14

AI made thinking optional.
We put the mind back in training.

LogicLab Kids rebuilds the thinking the algorithms wear down. Fifteen deliberate minutes a day, in a form a child will actually open.

Screen time as the reward

The end of the screen-time fight

Your child earns their way into their favourite apps by solving reasoning tasks. TikTok, YouTube, games: entertainment is now what the thinking pays for. You stop being the one who says no, because the system is what asks them to think first and unwind second.

Activating earned screen time

Don’t take the phone away.
Give them a reason to earn it.

Banning it solves nothing, and confiscating the screen only starts an argument. LogicLab Kids takes the other road: it makes screen time the reward and thinking the thing worth doing.

Daily question

Thinking that turns into a daily habit

A new challenge every day, one that asks for the route to the answer rather than the answer. Our AI does not solve the task; it walks the child to the conclusion.

The answer is not less AI.
It is knowing how to think.

MIT researchers found that students who lean on AI show measurably weaker critical thinking. LogicLab Kids turns exactly that around.

I

15 minutes of mental training a day

Structured lessons that build critical thinking. Not a dopamine trap: actual progress.

II

An AI that argues back

Opponents that question the child, point at the flaw in the argument and ask for evidence.

III

Reading the media critically

Teaches them to spot manipulation in advertising and in AI-generated fakes.

Tracking progress

Visible results, real progress

Weekly reports on how the thinking is developing. Watch “I don’t know” turn into “I think it’s because…”

The mind is a muscle.
Don’t let it go soft.

You cannot keep AI out of your child’s life. But you can prepare them to run it, instead of the other way round.

Situations you will recognise
“Every evening turns into a fight about screen time. If I take the phone there is shouting, and the problem is not solved at all, we just push it down for a while. We would need something that gives them their own reason, instead of me being the bad cop the whole time.”
Dénes, father of three
“As a teacher I can see how sharply the children’s problem solving has dropped. If something does not work first time they do not even try to think about it, they go straight to ChatGPT for the finished answer. We have to teach them to think critically again.”
Bence, primary school teacher
“My son has been reaching for the iPad on reflex since he was tiny, and I honestly worry about his future. What happens at school if that constant hunger for stimulation is already automatic this early? I am waiting for something that breaks the numbing scroll.”
Nóra, mother of a toddler

AI is dulling your child’s mind.

Every time they ask ChatGPT, a muscle in their brain gets weaker. Banning AI does not work. LogicLab Kids trains the thinking AI wears down. In fifteen minutes a day.

The problem

MIT’s data shows that students who use AI have measurably weaker critical thinking. The brain outsources its most important work at exactly the age it most needs to build it.

The solution

LogicLab Kids exercises reasoning and logic every day. It rebuilds the cognitive muscles ChatGPT made passive.

What you see

Weekly reports on how your child’s thinking is developing. Watch “I don’t know” turn into “I think it’s because…” That is the difference between a child who uses AI and a child who thinks.

Common questions
How does the app handle screen time?

It uses Apple’s Screen Time API, which lets the app talk directly to iOS screen-time management. Once your child finishes their tasks, the amount of screen time you set unlocks automatically. The Android version uses Digital Wellbeing and the Accessibility Services API for the same thing.

Why sign up if the app is not out yet?

Signing up helps me show there is real demand for this. I am preparing for a competition where I have to back up with data that parents care about their children’s critical thinking. Every sign-up is a vote for this project getting built.

Is the trial really free?

Yes. The 7-day trial needs no card. When the app is out you get full access to everything for the first week, and after that you decide whether to carry on.

Which devices will it work on?

It arrives on iOS first, iPhone and iPad, with the Android version close behind. The parent side will also be reachable from a web browser.

Is my child’s data handled safely?

Data protection comes first. Screen time is handled on the device itself, and only anonymised learning statistics reach the server. It complies fully with GDPR and with children’s data-protection rules.

Who is behind it

Patrik Dörfler

A 17-year-old developer who is not willing to accept that the next generation grows up without thinking. I watched the children around me get less and less able to reason on their own. AI is not the problem; AI without the muscles of critical thinking is.

I am preparing for a competition, and your sign-up is one of the strongest pieces of evidence that this product is wanted. Help me show that parents care about how their children think.
